Wow! What an awesome year already and we're only half way through!
I've been slack posting regular blogs, partly because I haven't been "prepping" and I don't think that I have much else to blog about - but that's not true at all!
SO much has happened for me this year, so many firsts!
As you all know I competed for the first time in March 2011. It was such an amazing experience and I am so proud of the hard work I did to get in shape.
I have also left the comfort of the last seven years of working at OneSteel to start my own business as a contractor working with Oxygen Magazine and Dallas & Lindy Olsen. Big decision to do this and it's such a scary new world, but it's like a dream job and it was well worth the risk! I've been there just over a month now and am loving every second of it! It's busy busy and there is never a dull moment! I'm proud of myself for again taking a leap of faith and trying something way out of my comfort zone.
I got a new car Driving to my new job down the coast was starting to add up on the petrol front, so I knew I needed a small car to help on the petrol side of things. I wanted to do a straight swop for a brand new car. Ben said no car yard would do that, they would want money as well. I ended up approaching Kia, telling them I wanted a brand new Kia Rio and I wanted no changeover, just a straight swop, and they agreed! Don't ask, don't get!!!!
Last weekend I went to Melbourne to watch the All Female Classics show. First time in Melbourne! I had a great time, was a bit fresh but wow to all the yummy foods, great shopping and great architecture!
At the moment I am back in comp mode. We are 13 weeks out from the IFBB Brisbane October show. I hope to come in leaner and tighter than my first show.........so we'll see how that goes
So as you can see, this year so far has been a year of firsts. First time competing, new job, new car, first time to Melbourne..........what else will happen this year, there's still six months left!!!!! Only time will tell xxx |
